Idk if you've seen this. But the guy makes a bmx(ish) long tail for his kid.
Cba to find the first one in the series but it's a nice collection of videos so worth watching from the start

Cargo bikes and kids: we've got a maxi-cosi car seat adapter for babies and a booster seat for when they get a bit bigger and can sit up on the bench. Both going spare. If you want them, we are in Ealing and you can probably have them gratis.

Saw the weird cheapo rider tent version of the one upthread in Graz.
I love those super practical family bikes. Inside of this box looked like a kids room.

Yes i looked into these also before i bought the other one, they are china made for mopeds.
Also feedback on the cover, it has not blown over yet. Keeps me dry in terrible summer weather and my kid thinkd its cool.
Cons, teens laugh at me but as im almost 40 i feel this is personally a positive.
I would actually like to eventually build a custom one that mounts on the rack vs the handle bars.

First thing my brain thought was that’s just a long seatpost and stem away from being an excellent micro-cargo!

Any Kona Ute owners on here, I am selling these Ortlieb 40l panniers which I can set up with the large 14mm clips to fit a Ute rear rack.

Went to look at these two today.
I prefer the Load75 but my wife prefers the UA - bc the load passenger space isn’t as spacious as the UA. I think this anniversary edition is pretty good to ride plus it comes with £600 of free extras which is nice. The load75 feels much nicer to ride but is obvs a bit more £.

some might say get UA as suspension is more maintenance but then again you cant do anything on these bikes at home; and that is why i want to swerve you away from Fully Charged
I would consider the GSD/HSD too.

- accessories ecosystem
- battey replacement/upgrade possibilities
- serviceability (rohloff, gates, possibility of swapping brake pads on your own)
other than that they are all about the same
- accessories ecosystem

What’s wrong with getting it serviced at fully charged?

Even the if not a tern, longtail bikes in general are awesome kid haulers and nicer for the adult moving the thing

Fully Charged are ok, they're been quite helpful with our UAs at work. They're not the easiest to get hold of or the most communicative though. For what it's worth, I manage our fleet of Urban Arrows at work and they're brilliant. Even lugging a trailer and weighing 200kg+, they need so little maintenance. I've got absolutely no experience with the Load75 so probably not that helpful as a comparison though!

I like urban arrow too. Personally I would invest the money saved in upgrading a cheaper bike (ie UA) with Rohloff or something rather than buying a premium bike with enviolo.

• #12072
What is the real experience difference with Rohloff vs like a nexus/alfine? Just way more gears? Or the maintenance component?
-
• #12073
I have no experience but just yesterday watched a YouTube concerning this.

Thanks - the UA I tried was:
https://urbanarrow.com/family-anniversary/ And it also comes with a few additional extras (cover, seat etc) totalling £600 for free at the moment. It’s tempting but I also really like the R&M -
