My frame can take 35c max i’d say, in the rear! So I am just trying to fit the same in the front. I mentioned 38 so that I can fit 35 comfortably without worrying about the tyre being unsafely tight fit.
I am not looking for canti per se but if I have to go for that route then that’s that.
Do you mean 28c? 38c on a threaded steel fork for 700c wheels is pretty volumy - I’d guess you’d need to be looking for something with canti studs?
What is the largest tyre you can get in the frame?
I’ve got some threaded forks but no larger tyres to try out in it… they will take a 27c open pave (measuring 28mm)
