That isn't the world we live in though, I'll grab a piece for me whilst we remain in this world, spent way too much of my life impoverishing myself and giving away most of what I ever earned to feel too guilty about brushes with the fringes of wealth now. I'll happily call it shit and unequal whilst eating a nice meal... it is shit, it is unequal, but I'm going to eat the meal in front of me.

My mate bought a house with one (seems they are not a good investment as no-one buying the house cares it exists). It just has a few beers and some supermarket wine in there now.

I visited a building site in Kensington and was shown the wine cellar, it was very obviously an incredibly strong panic room. Would you get drunk hoping the Police get to you first?

Maybe not in Velocio's nappa case, but I thought one of the main features of the staircase cellar is that as a staircase you don't need planning.

In (rural) France there is always a wine cellar. People expect it too.
Because we live on a hillside we can just walk into ours from the hallway. In my father-in-law's house you need to go outside and climb down some stairs.

Imagine what it takes to fill that thing or retrieve a few bottles from it. A tight spiral staircase and carrying boxes/cases of wine, you need two hands to carry it and one for the staircase... makes very little sense at all.

Good grief, you're not supposed to get the bottles yourself; you're supposed to send the help!
