If they’re the Wireless version they go down pretty low anyway due to the DSP, and you will at most only get one octave in the audible range. Might not be worth it, but might be amazing :)

I’ve got the wireless ones indeed. Might look at a secondhand option.

Met Devon Turnbill today and finally got to listen to his gear.
Huge and very involving soundstage - very neutral sound, you could listen all day, I did 3 hours.
2 rooms one super analogue and ultra simple signal path.
The other is fully digital-focused with TAD drivers paired to vintage Altec horns with custom OJAS throats.Ps that's incense below not smoking amps :)

Mindblown.
Hi-Fi can have that effect when the planets align. -

You should def head down there - it's pretty inspiring.

Incense, it’s what my neighbour calls it.
Sometimes, actually mostly, I make comments that only I will ever understand. -

I feel like their products are directly marketed at me. I don't need any of them, but I sure want all of them.

@timmah!
Same. Plus I really don't have the space or surplus cash for such things.
However, there's a part of me that quite likes the idea of a mid-sized horn-loaded speaker... perhaps Klipsch one day. -

What's the go to for a streaming front end with a screen and digital out? Basically I want art work and track info, the ability to do Spotify connect and Chromecast and a sensible digital out. Like a 12" tablet or something?
I'm sure I'm blanking on something obvious here.

Smart TV?

Or an HDMI monitor in your choice of size with a Chromecast attached (in the absence of a CCA)

My Key LS50 2's have started turning themselves off randomly, which is extremely annoying.
Some Googling shows that this is a known issue the "fix" for which is to turn off the touch-panel on the right hand speaker. That's not a fix, that's a work-around, and it appears that Kef can't fix this with a firmware update. WTF?

I know there could be failures with any electrical component, but hearing stuff like this is exactly why I still can't bring myself to buy speakers that have firmware.
-

I feel the same. Good speakers and amps could last 30 years plus, but so unlikely with inbuilt networking and software modules.

3rded, adding complexity too often ends in tears
I didnt find this, i had LS50 for years before get a KC62, which i had and tweaked for a year and ultimately sold, a good amp made way more difference (for music i like ) than the sub did!
