If you take it to a Seiko dealer all they will do is send it to Maidenhead, I think, but you would at least save the postage cost. Would recommend emailing service@seiko.co.uk and go from there.
You could drop it in at the GS/Seiko boutique on New Bond Street, and then the service centre can post it back to you.

I don't think Alsal would touch a GS.

Had the day off with the missus in town today so popped into the swatch shop. Bit of window shopping as it’s my daughter’s birthday soon and she’ll probably get her first watch. Picked up one of these too, was the only non lairy coloured one they had in, actually really like it (apart from the strap).

Chris made 30 tickets available instead of the usual 20 so it was packed.
Highlights included a 5513 Milsub and an Omega Marine Chronometer.

Also, I met the CMO of Chrono24 and she confirmed to me that their guide prices are still based on listing prices, not sale prices. But that the plan to transition to using actual sale prices is happening.

That Seiko chronograph is pretty nice.
I'd wear that. I suspect it's outside of my price range (basically zero)

It's a 7A28-7010. Admittedly a very nice example of one. But if you keep an eye out and set some alerts up you might be able to land one for not too much money.

Ha, I've had this alert on ebay for years and virtually nothing has ever come up. Probably need to remove the UK requirement

Ha, maybe. Very good looking one with box for about £800 in Switzerland on C24:

And one in the Netherlands for nearer £500:

I thought that square omega was a smart watch for a sec

Someone should def do an Apple Watch face in that same style.
I think the battery only lasts about six months in those marine chronometers, the quartz frequency is super high.

I’ve been looking at marine chronometers loads since he starting posting that beaut a few weeks back
Central London default is usually Alsal on The Strand
