If it's not binding you'll be fine, you shouldn't be in that gear in actual use anyway. Did you size the chain doing big/big ring not through the mech plus one full link from the shortest you can make it?

That's a thing? I only ever size it big big but with no RD involved and add a link.

Nevermind, I now see the "not" through the mech. Fuck this I'm going to bed.

Yes that’s my method. Just feels a bit tighter than usual and I haven’t sized a chain for 53-34 before. I like to be able to run big-big.
