I am thinking of electrifying my retro MTB. Who are the more reputable sources for full conversion kits? Thinking of trying to avoid fiery battery related injury/death.
Bafang or for UK based you can try Cytronex, cost a little more and perhaps better on a road bike but simple and easy with one sensor, only work with QR front wheels.

I did this and am very happy with it, using a Bafang kit.
Regarding battery fires, the consensus seems to be that scooter and skateboard batteries are most at risk because the battery is mounted under the board and subject to knocks and bangs, compromising the integrity of the cells inside.
