Yea, I am looking for shirts though mostly that I'll use for running - so trying to avoid looking like a tool 🙂

Not merino, but it's 40% off all baselayers over at the GoreWear website right now, thought I'd mention it in here..

I want to get a ss merino top, ls merino top and winter collar (maybe also boxers). Other than rapha anywhere I should be looking?

Albion. Whisper this, but having preached the quality of Rapha’s merino base layers for years, I think I might actually prefer the Albion ones now.

Their branding tho :'(

Was actually looking at these, don't have any LS annoyingly but got 2 ss and a winter collar. Thanks!

You're supposed to wear base layers underneath other layers tho :)

I found the “scooped” neckline a bit weird on the Albion merinos. Fine as an under layer - but even then I tend to wear merino when it’s colder, so would rather avoid the couple of inch gap at the top.
Icebreaker is still my goto, but I’ve also now got a couple of dhb merinos which are pretty good (and very lightly branded so you don’t see the “dhb”)

rapha win for merino boxers still, finiesterre OK but even spendier.
Icebreaker for ls tops, have a range of casual and sporty options. dhb are OK but size small. -

Varusteleka has 20% off merino stuff right now.

Anyone used https://www.isobaa.com/ ?
Saw them on a bikepacking video and wondered

They are on sportpursuit all the time, so buy there for a discount. I have a few tops and they are nice.

Yes, lots. I like them. Especially the boxers.

One more for isobaa here.
The Super Natural stuff on Sport Pursuit is also quite good. I have 2 of their hoodies are they are excellent.

Useful, thanks.
Thinking of trying a LS merino jersey for touring/racing.

Just make sure it's poly blend. I think around 120g/M2 is nice. A chest zip is good too for air in warm weather.

Plus whatever for isobaa. Have a few things - fit and style is above average, the actual merino seems a little more fragile than icebreaker for example.
Dhb merino is another option

What, why?
The blend stuff lasts a bit longer maybe, but to me good 100% merino things definitely feel nicer and make me sweat less.. -

For me personally, lasts longer, preper the feel, fabrics can be thinner this more breathable, absorbs less water and dries faster. But still get the merino benefits. If it's for a winter baselayer, sure go full merino if you wish. But for summer a merino blend is better.
Also full merino can be itchy for me brand depending, blend isn't. I think performance is better. -

Any in particular you'd recommend (merino blend shirts for summer I mean)?

For me, I'd like a half length zip to vent it. Plus long sleeves. Beyond that most brands are good. The mountain brands generally get it right. I made my own in the end. Also go light colours to reduce radiation absorption, really makes a difference.
I've had some Montane primino ones for years and done well. Rab do some. 120/140g/M2 is good area. But neither are light colours.
Rapha merino mesh is good for super hot weather. But not long sleeved.
Their underwear looks like underwear to me, besides my gitch is way down the list of judgements that will be passed about my appearance by anyone who sees me in a state of undress.
