Giving away this "Capital" folding shopper bike. It was an impulse Gumtree purchase a few years ago that I haven't really used as much as I thought I might. Could make a cool small wheeled beater with a bit of tlc and some BMX wheels... Maybe?
The good:
You can lock it up with a cheap chain lock outside wood green station for a whole weekend and it will be left untouched
I made some "upgrades" from my parts bin so it has some mtb old school mtb grips, pedals, levers and saddle
comedy rock shox sticker
The bad:
it's been left outside for 2 years and it shows..quite rusty and generally in a bit of a state
tyres, wheels, brakes are all pretty fucked and would need swapping if you have any serious plans for this bike
has a Shimano "positron" style internal 3 speed hub. It works, but if the cable breaks then it's difficult to find replacement parts. I also read somewhere that they're notoriously difficult to service.... If I had the time / money / inclination I'd get some BMX wheels and be done with it
Collection only from Wood Green N22. I wouldnt recommend cycling it home unless you're just round the corner. Best to bring a cargo bike/ trailer / car / whatevs. Front tyre has a puncture but it's fairly slow so if you do ride it home I'll pump it up before collection.
