Santafixie just released a new tracklocross frame to replace their old Born model that sold out a couple years ago.
https://www.santafixie.com/bicicleta-santafixie-wild-tracklocross-navy.html
might be a good budget option. It seems they're not selling the frame separately at the moment though.
4130 steel, 45mm clearance, canti bosses (with unfortunately no frame cable stops...) and some nice looking segmented forks

Saw that the On one Mulo is on flash sale at PlanetX in medium and small

What tends to be the solution for drop bars - wanting lever hoods on both bars but only one lever?
I've seen some with a sort of 'blanking' lever stub in place?I'd rather avoid having an unconnected lever to accidentally grab.
Hard thing to search for - im assuming its been discussed previously, I'm just struggling to UTFS :-)

You can use a single cane creek scr 5 tandem stoker hood.
Or you can use a pair of normal levers and try to remember that one of them does nothing...
Or you can use a problem solvers cable doubler (assuming cable-operated brakes, of course) so that both levers operate the same brake.

cane creek scr 5 tandem stoker hood
That’s what I was trying to think of, cheers! I was also going to investigate just removing the left lever. If I had 3d printer access/skills, I suppose I could fashion some sort of blanking stub like the cane creek hood.

No worries!

I’ve never done this.
Like, ever.

I believe the tektro/trps have quite easily popped out levers.
But as others said, it's not really a problem, you know which brake is which.
Get sprung ones, or do the biro trick or tape trick for unsprung ones. -

You're underestimating my ability to unwittingly endanger my own life!
I'd just put two brakes on it, but my rear wheel has a 6-bolt / single thread hub so it's either one brake and fixed (with a 6-bolt cog) or 2 brakes and SS.

You can put a rotor on the threaded side. Hulsroy has done this
-
• #712
Oh yes, so he has! Also, any excuse to have a re-read of that thread....
-
• #713
Also, from experience, especially with two brakes, you can thread a fixed cog onto the freewheel side, mash hard up the nearest hill and it will not come undone accidentally. Thread an old BB lock ring outside the cog with a bit of blue thread lock if concerned.
I know this is perhaps ill advised, but with thousands of miles on and off road like this, on various hubs and gear ratios, I remain among the living.

Seconded. I’ve not died, yet,

Sure this has been asked many times, but what options are there for a disc, through axle, fixed hub? Is it just Paul?

1 or 2 years ago i had a conversation (via mail) with the guy behind mack hubs, if it would be possible to do a double iso (disc cog) hub with 12x142mm. at that time he was busy with a lot of orders but said he would be willing to do, if time allows for doing prototype and such...
but as you are behind the brexit curtain ordering from paul would be nearly the same, i guess. -

Apparently they're a standard part of Mack's range now: EUR 200 + GBP60 for shipping and customs etc.

I finally got my Day One project up and running. Still not 100% on gear-ratio yet, and i think as much as I like an OG V2, I might end up with some standard low-rise bars on this.
