Litelok and yes. Sold secure silver for that one IIRC but much lighter than equivalent d-lock.
-
• #5253
Nope. Have had to cut a couple at work and a basic, battery angle grinder goes through them like butter.
-
• #5254
They’re shit but have good secure ratings which is what people need for insurance purposes I guess.
There are new d locks from hiplock and lite lock which are angle grinder resistant which might be worth a look

That makes sense, not that your insurance is likely to pay out if you've not actually locked the bike. Yeah I've seen that super pricey one from Hiplok. Hopefully it's a lot better than the other stuff of theirs I've seen at £250!

Not something I'd buy...

^ Video might be blocked by Litelok. You'll notice in Litelok's own torsion test they aren't testing the lock mechanism.

Self reporting: me, who got to the gym and realised I forgot my lock - but had a padlock so padlocked my mudguard stay to someone else's left behind d-lock.

Saw this earlier locked to itself. Look closely and it’s got loads of nice and valuable parts. Spoke to the guy who owned it, looked like a university student and he wasn’t seemingly that bothered it could get stolen. Said you can’t ride off on it so it’s ok… told him I could have picked it up and thrown it in the car but he still didn’t seem to think it was likely as it has a lock on it and couldn’t be ridden with a lock on. If he keeps locking it like that around here it’s going to get stolen sooner or later

I see that bike in town abit it's way too big for him. Nice build apart from the ass saver. I'm off to report the guys I caught the other day that I posted on the spotted thread now the local police seem to be having abit of a crack down on bike theft.

I could have picked it up and thrown over my shoulder
Don’t even need a car, you could just walk off with that all casual like
-
• #5271
The owner could catch you on foot if they’re quick. Put it in a car or grab it from a moped, and it’s gone.
-
• #5272
Theoretically, yes, but me - personally speaking - I’d prefer to put myself in a situation where someone couldn’t just literally pick my bike up and walk away with it.
Especially because you know all it would take would be for them to have a buddy who could get in your way and stop you pursuing, at which point you’d be even more fucked.

Nice one. There’s shit loads of theft around here. Hope something comes of it.

Think it's a Hiplock, don't know if it's any good.
