@Gewürzt there's still plenty around. You're not going to get an American IPA or anything above 5.5% on tap (although you might get a real IPA on draught) but you will get sky sports, Guinness, cold lager and a reasonably affordable pint.
Main trouble is they keep getting closed down and turned into flats.
Not round me, maybe old school boozers that have long term fixed energy prices can keep prices low but every pub round here has had a take over/refresh in the last 5 years.
Even cask beer is nearly 6 quid a pint in most places near me.
