Also on the Abbeydale, although quite a lot punchier.
@Gewürzt there's still plenty around. You're not going to get an American IPA or anything above 5.5% on tap (although you might get a real IPA on draught) but you will get sky sports, Guinness, cold lager and a reasonably affordable pint.
Main trouble is they keep getting closed down and turned into flats.

Not round me, maybe old school boozers that have long term fixed energy prices can keep prices low but every pub round here has had a take over/refresh in the last 5 years.
Even cask beer is nearly 6 quid a pint in most places near me.

Just paid £7.50 for a pint of something 6.6% in Sheffield, so it’s not all a bed of roses oop narth.
It was also a bit of a shit pint, so that’s a double kick in the teeth.

Spotted on Instagram.
Not sure whether to be intrigued, curious, horrified?

Not sure about this one, vanilla toffee rum mix, it’s quite boozy. I bought four so will have to give it further consideration over the next couple of weeks.

if anyone ever comes across gwatkins cider i'd definately recommend it. tried some at the great british winter beer festival in burton this year, then again at a local beer festival where they had 6 or 7 ciders on tap. tried a 1/2 of each and all bar one were stunning. then did a ride up to their hq in bacton herefordshire for a pub lunch and a couple of pints at the red cow.
there's something special about the taste of their ciders, just a little bit different from the regular ciders you get on tap. quite small production so you'll be lucky to find it anywhere but the welsh borders or at a beer festival, but very tasty indeed. -

My local is still about £4 a pint. £3.80 for a Guinness last time I was in there.
