Been told not to use normal grease as that can cause the epoxy to to swell.
EDIT Thought it was a carbon frame and seat post hence using carbon assembly paste.
Got an on one lurcher that I've just bought a hope bolt on seat clamp to replace a quick release. Got some carbon assembly paste from Halfords tho not used it yet https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-maintenance/bike-lube/halfords-carbon-gripper-paste-10g-651233.html

Please say you’re using an aluminium seatpost…
Carbon tubes are made up of carbon and epoxy resin bonding the carbon together. The epoxy is what keeps the carbon together.
