I've got a SIPP with ii that annoys me every time I see £20 come out each month but I've not priced it up to see if that's good/bad/ugly versus my PAYE pension and I have an older PAYE pension I'd need to check cost of.

Ha! Sames.
My 101 year old grandfather who worked for 30 years for the same company and retired 50 years ago has a very different pension story to my forecast one.

Yeah, my mate's Dad is in his 90's and was the only one who took a lifetime pension instead of a payout about 45 years ago, absolutely laughing.
I'm fucking off out the country for good in a month so not sure if I'll ever sort it out. My Mrs will probably get a decent pension so I'm just praying she doesn't bin me off.

It's OK the way inflation is going the state pension will be about 5 grand a week when we retire, a bag of spuds will cost 2 grand mind.
I need to look at mine to see what the costs are of each.
My logic for consolidation was potential cost savings and simply less mental overhead and paperwork on my part. ie. it's one less "annual statement" to bother reading or whatever.
Counter argument is "don't have all your eggs in one basket"
