Anytime, just hit me up. You definitely know you've done 70 miles on the CRF whereas the road sections would be a breeze on the Tiger. There was a traffic restriction order on one lane so had to get creative to make a ramp, but all part of the fun.
I'm noticing my Michelin Trackers are starting to wear a little as switching ruts isn't as effortless as it once was. Might investigate the Mitas XT 754 or whatever the current equivalent is.

That looks so lush and green. I don't think I've ever ridden a dirtbike somewhere so green! Nice.

Picked up a set of original DR350 wheels today, in tired but functional condition. Dropping the rear at the mechanics for a going-over, tyre and tube swap and new bearings. Hopefully that gives me a nice usable dirt wheelset again for less than the cost of rebuilding the damaged rim.
However! I want to rebuild the damaged rim anyway. Been spoilt by a set of Akronts that I use for the road tyres, and don't want to skimp out and not sure I trust non-brand rims on ebay.
Need a 2.15/18 36H. Anyone got a line on a good quality rim that will suit?

Just pulled this out of storage at work for an event this weekend. Need to drain and remove the tank because h&s but will take it for a little zoom first.

I work for a mirrorball company. Was done by us for a job about 12yrs ago and we’ve been hiring it out ever since as the original client didn’t want it afterwards.
It doesn’t currently have an mot(it’s usually hired as a static prop) but runs like a champ. -

I really fancy one of these - looks a lot of cycle for the money....no frills, attractively priced. (I have totally failed to post a pic, but I think they look great too.)

Where is it made and who's engine is it.

The engine is a tuned counter balanced Zongshen 450 engine with a completely new top end that is unseen elsewhere. This has been tested extensively. The Rally is double overhead cam whereas the normal engine is single. This double overhead cam head combined with mapping high performance exhaust and different manifolds increases the performance. This engine revs but it's very smooth and mechanically quiet.
Zongshen make about 2 million engines a year which is significantly more than than other engine manufacturers. Just do a search on YouTube for Zongshen. The technology and their factory is top drawer. Their engines are in a host of other bikes including Fantic, Norton and AJP. They also produce engine parts for Yamaha and Suzuki.

Aren't they the company that build the cg125 copy that is such a copy even the older casting marks are present.
Looking at the Chinese, Thai and Indian manufacturers it is all about quality control.
Do wonder how they last in real life.

They entered 3 almost stock bikes into Dakar and they all finished, same in Sonora I believe. No tougher test of a bike than that. Apparently Jimmy Lewis (legendary CA fast man) was at the touratech rally and ragged one 1500miles back from Washington to Nevada, without touching a spanner. I reckon on what I've seen I'd trust one at least as much as a KTM/Husq etc, maybe more. 5000 mile service interval is more like DRZ territory.

I think Henry Cole was riding the purple one on his show the other day. He owns it.

Btw if anyone wants their partner to get significantly better at being a pillion send then to Vietnam (or any of se asia tbh) for a few months, best way around without riding yourself is on a grab bike. Traffic is always full on.
3 months later and i now have the perfect sack of flour that never flinches no matter the situation. They can now also ride side saddle with a phone in one hand foot directions and a bag of shopping in the other.
I hate you. I'm due to some rubber on the Tiger and I'm thinking something a little...angrier for dirt riding. It'll totally destroy the bike, but it's already a wee bit fucked so why not. Might join you so you can lead the way
