  • 6 months? Was this indicative of how bad your break was? First i've seen that long be recommended.

    @M_V Yeah the long and short of this whole situation is that you can absolutely ride but you must absolutely not crash.

  • I think he was just saying that it takes 6 - 12 months for the bone to be full strength so wouldn't recommend anything before then but he did caveat that he's not a doctor, just a physiotherapist and that I should consult with the doc for a better answer

  • My consultant had me back on a bike as soon as the dressing was off - his only concerns was the would healing without being macerated in sweat.

    It's a bike - it's not going to interference with the healing process. You're going to do that more by just living.
