  • My physio said I shouldn't really be riding my bike for 6 months because it won't be fully healed until then but I'm going to ask the doc when I go back in couple of weeks for a second opinion on that.
My legs are getting smaller and my waist is getting bigger.

Also FYI, signing up for Patients Know Best has been the best thing I did through all of this. I've been able to see the letters that the hospital have sent to my GP about me and a bunch of other info that I otherwise wouldn't have got to see. Very useful

  • 6 months? Was this indicative of how bad your break was? First i've seen that long be recommended.

@M_V Yeah the long and short of this whole situation is that you can absolutely ride but you must absolutely not crash.

  • I think he was just saying that it takes 6 - 12 months for the bone to be full strength so wouldn't recommend anything before then but he did caveat that he's not a doctor, just a physiotherapist and that I should consult with the doc for a better answer

  • Indicative of how bad his riding is ;)

I didn't break my shoulder but fucked the soft tissue when skiing did not get physio when back in the London as it was hassle decades later still having issues. No actual proof but, in my mind, my frozen shoulder issues are connected

Hope you are all feeling good today and the meds are making things better
