Actually, thinking about it, £400 would get it.......

I have this exact tubeset and carbon rear end in a box of parts I bought from Dave Yates, 90% sure its the same. It's very light. Could it have come from Condor? Early 00's

@Fishfabs - it's been a topic of conversation with my riding buddies too - looking at it, it's very similar to lots of frames knocking around at the time - I've seen Dave Hinde, Condor and others looking similar so I guess they were from one of the Far East or maybe Italian volume manufacturers at the time and got rebadged along the way - interesting that this one managed to remain unbranded - I sold a Pinarello Galileo I had years ago to a mate and we stood them next to each other at the weekend - again hard to tell the difference - whatever it is, it's nice!

I'll see if I can photograph the tubing at some point.... I think it has a sticker with it....
-
• #6
That would be really interesting - the down tube in particular is a very distinctive shape - as is the seat stay tube that the rear triangle “plugs” into 👍

I could be barking up the wrong tree..... what do you think? I'll delete and remove if it's not useful to the prospective buyer.
Pictures attached.

@Fishfabs - that's very similar, even down to how the ends connect to the stays - but it's not quite the same -for example, the downtube is more of a diamond shape on mine.
I'm guessing there would have been variations on a theme, perhaps for different builders maybe? Or maybe just in different years?
(btw, did Dave build alu frames as well as steel then?)

Ah yeah, I can see the downtube difference now.
The rear connections looks the same, it must be Dedaccai tubing too, just a variation of the shape maybe?
Dave said that he didn't get on with TIG but he seemed to have lots of aluminium and Ti, so just stuff from over the years I guess.Sorry to hijack with tube chat, I thought the tube spec could be handy for a buyer if it was the same or very close :)

I’ve got a Graham Weigh that’s identical to this too, same wishbone, dropouts and tube shapes - only difference is those little brazed-on cable guides that Brian Rourke also uses. Sorry, this is in no way helpful but it’s a lovely frame - glws

Sorry to hijack but that sigma frame looks awesome. Looking for something similar 58cm if you have anything or know where to source...? Doesn't have to have carbon stays
-
• #24
Something similar, like the 57cm for sale in this thread, right in front of you?
-
• #25
Hahaha you could even paint it blue and add some branding
Beautiful 57cm frame in superb condition - high quality alloy main frame tubes (nicely shaped down tube) and full carbon monocoque seat stays and carbon forks. This is unbranded and is believed to be about 10 yrs old since manufacture but I’ve just bought the frame effectively as new (less than 25 miles usage by original owner) and built it up into this spec with all parts in very good condition.
The frame is believed built with Dedaccai tubing - it’s really light weight and rides beautifully
Frame is 57cm centre to centre top tube, and 56cm centre of BB to centre of top tube, 58cm to the top of the slightly extended seat tube. I’m 5’9” and would say I’m at the bottom end of the sizing - suit up to 6ft. The steerer has 30mm of spacers so plenty of room for adjustment
Frame is finished in metallic white, with lacquered carbon seat stays and forks.
Spec as follows:
Token headset
Campagnolo Veloce brakes
Campagnolo Xenon 9 speed shifters and rear mech
Shimano front mech (new)
Shimano chain (new)

Sensa 42cm bars
Ritchey 80mm stem
New seatpost
Campagnolo Scirrocco G3 wheels with 25mm Continental Gatorskin folding tyres
Campagnolo cassette
NB. Saddle, bottle cages and pedals NOT included
Everything is in really good condition - all bearings running perfectly, gear shifts perfect, rims virtually no wear and running true
