Survived the commute fixed with the original 49x19 gearing. Took a more direct route after I spotted a club mate on Strava rides the same way. Much better than via Bradford, shorter and hillier.
Deffo need guards. As much as I’d hoped to hold off til winter, my arse got soaked.
Just need to see what the return leg is like. I imagine it won’t be as quiet at 4pm.
