If you fail in the public ballot you get access to the returned tickets site. Keep refreshing that over the course of a few weeks and trying to add tickets to your basket when they come up (pretty often tickets show as available but can't be added to basket) and you've a pretty good chance of getting something.
Sadly I forgot to take any watch pictures even though I was there on a Friday.

Quick thread derail follows
I’m Secretary of Seniors Tennis GB, a voluntary organisation delegated and part-funded by the LTA to manage and develop competitions and teams and promote and increase tennis participation of players of all standards aged 30 years and over. As part of that I get the chance to buy tickets. This year I had the bonus of getting invited to the LTA Presidents Lunch, fully catered and watered in a hospitality suite (and I didn’t hold back). Final day today, just waiting for Rune-Dimitrov.
But yes to keep checking for returned tickets although queueing for a Ground Pass in the first week is usually great value (if if doesn’t rain of course) as I’d prefer the il close intimacy of the outside courts over the main show courts (unless you are low down/close up and then they are hard to beat).
Also look out for other tournaments - signing up to the LTA Newsletter is good for getting on things early, BJK Cup in Coventry a couple of months ago was great and really looking forward to David Cup in Manchester in September
Ok, off to spam up the Wimbledon thread!!!
Still time for tennis?
