Seem to remember the 456 name meant 4,5 or 6 inches of fork travel. One of the original hardcore hardtails when 100mm travel was standard.
Your rigid forks look a bit shorter so that might unslacken it a bit
Yeah, seeing them (26” rigid forks) on there looks like some 29er forks may have been more fitting to correct the geo. Oh well - an upgrade for down the line.
