Outstanding! I look forward to the test bits

Colour needs to be something that compliments my orange Wit Slingers bag some how. Thinking about a dark brown. Maybe matte would be cool for a change...

Could also be something like this or this... Will have to mock it up. But I expect riding the thing for a bit before deciding on paint... We have to test it first.

I love this seattube junction, really curious what it will look like when it's done
-

Thx! Me too. I have not taken any photos yet but my own AWOL has been brazed and part filed and it looks great. Sort of a fast back tribute.
An engineer friend of mine has raised concerns about the joint tho. He thinks it is a very narrow point where it attaches to the seat tube. That tab is 6mm thick flat bar but fillet brazed for more stiffness. We will see how it holds up, but my gut feeling tells me its gonna be fine.Gut > science

lalala covers eyes didn't see this, no sir, definitely not on my bucket list of sweet bikes, garage is full, lalala
yeah, so, tell me (roughly) about sizing - I'm 6'3" and usually have the top of my saddle about 32"/812mm from the centre of the BB - how does that compare to how it's set up in these photos? (reach is another question obvs)
-
• #7689
I think my saddle is probably 855mm center BB to saddle. Will have to check but I do have very long legs
-
• #7690
hah, yes you do! think this is too tall for me... GLWS...
-
• #7691
Thanks. It's not a big deal if doesn't sell. I love it to bits. It's just sad that it doesn't get used
-
• #7692
The reason it isn't getting used is because the kind of weekend pootle rides I used to do up through Roding river with @spotter I now do with my family somewhere else. And these new rides require a cargo bike.
Today's adventure went south of Aarhus to Norsminde to get fish and chips. We took the forest paths home a long the coast and ended up eating massive ice creams at Moesgaard Beach before venturing back up the hill to where we live in Skåde.
Lin rode 20km before bailing. I am massively proud of her being 4yo and riding in this terrain.

There was some talk about AWOL paint schemes... This moodboard is where I am currently at:

I realise those bars are extremely fucking ugly. They are what I had as a cad model. Actual bars are going to be Ritchey Venturemax... Which are obviously also pretty ugly
