  • Michael Young in Hong Kong used to be the go to man for bracelet repair. http://www.classicwatchrepair.com

  • Happy Friday, new to me 79090 Tudor Sub from 1991 😊

Thanks @Hairyback have heard of him before. I would love to be able to deal in person with someone in London if at all possible...

  • Spot on. Yours looks particularly great with that subtle ageing to the lume. The 1450 is great on the speedy.

@inchpincher ha! Neo vintage? Me, the lunch choice or the watch? I actually don't know the exact year as my wife bought it as a 40th gift. It's definitely not a '79 though.... More early 2000's me thinks.

  • cheers, yes mine is hesalite sandwich, 96 i think right at the end of when they used the tritium dials. i managed to get an Omega clasp cover on my US1450 too which suits it OK.

  • Rare work from home Friday.

  • I've posted this before but I'll mention again on a Friday for visibility.

I have a build slot with anOrdain that has come up now and I'd like to transfer it to someone. Only have 3-4 days to place the order so if anyone is keen to skip the long waitlist on any of their watches then drop me a line and we'll figure it out.

  • ^ someone should totally take up this offer. Fairly sure watches like the green fumé and Payne’s Grey fumé Model 1 are still trading well above retail despite list price increases.

  • I was tempted until I saw the prices. Pretty sure the plum fumé one I picked up 18 months ago was half that price. They are incredibly beautiful watches though....

  • They were undercharging for so long, tbh. And they have more expensive movements in them now. But yeah, it’s not the same as when I bought mine either.

  • Totally agreed; I'm definitely not saying they're overvalued now. They're just less of an 'impulse (ish)' purchase. Got other priorities to spend cash on unfortunately.

  • Loving my new Seiko. Although I do fancy a yellow one at some point. Happy sunny Friday all.

  • Cheers, bud. If I didn't need to prioritise other things right now I'd snap up a Model 1 fumé. I also don't want to lose the £350 deposit so if nobody takes it I'll have to buy something and then flip it I guess...

  • Ahhh, I thought yours was tritium too and was fooled by the bracelet! Looks rad.
Wearing my ‘79 on its OG 1171.

  • Well, I’m wearing this again, because the melt I sold it to invented a defect and returned it. Looked them up online and it turns out they are an estate agent so guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Maybe I’ll just keep wearing it as it’s nice

  • Lovely that, nice lollipop hand. 👌

  • was the defect that it's not a rolex

  • was the defect that it's not a classless Bremont

Prick has one for sale, explains a lot

  • estate agent = low end Tag

  • Thanks, even though the uncle Seiko 1450 is not an og bracelet it suits the watch better than the omega bracelet that came with mine.
Only slightly jealous of your legit one!

  • Love that 👌 I've always preferred those to the Rolex subs. Here's my less good blue watch

  • That zaratsu polishing sure is sharp

  • thanks man. GS are off my radar, but that's a beauty esp with the sun catching it 😎

  • As an owner of a low end Tag, ouch. But also we all know what the real estate agent watch is
