Some cable tidy things would be a good idea too, I could add weights so they pulled under the desk when not in use.

Just a proper tray with a power socket solution in it would be a good start. I think weights would need to be hidden behind panelling or something (I can just imagine the weights under my sink that pull the hose thing down - they need a lot of room, so seeing it under my actual desk would be offensive.
