  • Campsite near pub would be ideal and I didn't bother with the cooking stuff, so it'll need breakfast options nearby. Any thoughts?

Have plans to camp down in Dorset on a cider farm where you get to stay in the orchard, adult only, pet free and tap room on site.

It's not planned as a tour, instead using the bikes to get from station to camp and down to the coast at West Bay, but I'm sure there are plenty of route options.

Waterloo to Crewkerne is within 10 miles of camp.

  • I’m from crewkerne and can say the ride down to west bay and back is one of my go to’s. about 25k each way, but can easily add on some more mileage. Can recommend so places around there if you do go
The train down is horrendous though, worst part about going back haha

  • Would happily take any routes down to the coast, especially quiet routes, gravel/car free bits down from the station that pass near that campsite, thanks!

Was kinda hoping the train from London would be easy haha, are they not nice like the Bournemouth line trains?!

  • train down is horrendous though

    Yup... fuck these trains! ha

If anyone does lookup the Dorset Cider campsite, maybe a nice train to Dorchester and a circa 22 mile ride would be better.
