• Ratty Columbus Aelle frame and fork with some nice features badged Tierney Custom from Tierney Cycles in Liverpool. 54c-t, 54c-c.

The paint is in ropey condition but the chrome actually isn’t half bad. It’s straight and dent-free, has internal routing for the rear brake and takes recessed nut brakes and a 26.8mm seatpost (I can provide a very short and quite ugly one of these). Rear spacing came out at 129mm on my calipers. English BB. I have removed the birdshit since taking pictures.

Let’s try £60 collected in Bristol, including the Stronglight needle bearing headset.

  • £45

  • Final drop to £35. I can also do this as a rolling chassis with these wheels for an extra £15. Ultra sturdy Mavic CXP 30 on Mavic hubs. The rear takes a freewheel and the one on there at the minute needs replacing.

  • Lovely bargain project
Would take a punt on it if I was more local

  • Would absolutely take this if I was more local. May be in Bristol next month so will check if still around then!

  • I’ve actually started building this up but it’s still for sale unless I somehow fall in love with it!

Some further Googling suggests it’s an Olagnero.

  • I'd really like this frame, is there any chance you'd be up for posting to London?

  • I’m gonna ride it for a bit so I guess the for sale ad is paused for now but I won’t be keeping it long term unless it turns out to be really great. I’ll update on the thread when I’ve decided what to do.

I do have a frame box gathering dust in the spare bedroom so postage is possible.

  • Right, unpausing this sale as I really have no need for this. Things I’ve learned riding it is that it’s a lovely, smooth ride even on 23s and I bet it’d be great with a more modern groupset and lighter wheels than I had on it. Clearance at the fork crown is quite tight, but I think 25s will go with the right rim/tyre/caliper combination. There’s plenty of clearance at the rear end. Pic shows what it looked like built up.

Competitively priced I hope compared to what Pedal Pedlar want for the same frame!
