It is usually as easy as a phone call. You could try gumtree etc if you could be bothered to sell it on.

207k
Impressive

My dreams crushed. I wonder if the one in the garage was a rep too.

I scrapped a car recently and it was a non runner. Got just over £300 for a 52 plate Astra, they just paid a price per tonne.
Did online price comparison for local scrap dealers and then called the one with the best quote. Dead easy.

I'd take it.
Was it blue / orange / white?

Another Alitalia. I’m thinking if there was rallyday at CC then it was probs one belonging to the house and the other just a mate popping by in his for a cuppa after the fun? If you had two of them, you wouldn’t have two alitalias, would you. Still a special spot for me even as it all unravels into replica single ownership mundanity.

That said, mot history for TOI 7934 does return a v low mileage multicoloured 70s Alfa.

Cup holder tray in my car has been slow to open. Tried cleaning it and putting some silicone spray on the runners and I’ve made it even worse. Doesn’t spring out at all anymore.
Any idea what to “lube” it with?

Similar experience to @Cazakstan, 54 plate Fiat Panda, failed MOT and no economical to fix. Stuck it on eBay with no reserve and someone came with a flatbed and took it away leaving me with £300. Got tons of messages asking me to take the listing down for cash.

Have you had a look on YouTube?
Americans jizz themselves senseless over cup holders in cars, so I'd expect tonnes of videos on servicing them.

STOLEN: Well that didn’t last long. My dad’s car has been stolen. If anyone see this car can you let me or the police know please.
Registration is V8 SKE. (Titanium sliver with 18 inch black alloys).

Sounds promising:
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jul/04/toyota-claims-battery-breakthrough-electric-carsKaita said the company had developed ways to make batteries more durable and believed it could now make a solid-state battery with a range of 1,200km (745 miles) that could charge in 10 minutes or less.

Looks amazing to me. I don't like polished stuff though.

Any recommendations of how to scrap a car?
I used scrapmycar.com (a.k.a. Redcorn Ltd).
Hassle free. Got ~£250 for a Y reg (2001) Citroen Saxo 1.1 that wasn't going to pass its next MOT. They came at the designated time and took it away on a flatbed truck.

Thanks for all the advice on scrapping the car. Tried ebay but got bombarded with dodgy offers.
Was stood outside the house at lunch when a flat bed pulled up to collect a neighbours car. Asked him to make an offer and had £300 in my hand after 5mins.

It's had numerous sticky coffees dripped in there so spray a little warm water on it each time you push it back in then wipe and repeat. Finally give it a quick suck with a vacuum cleaner to get the water droplets out.

I know where the forums heart lies, but...Honda jazz or Fiat panda? We can't s small car with good carrying capability.
More importantly, partner likes a punchy car. She has a somewhat heavy foot. Which is more fun.
To counter what some of you are thinking, yeah, I'd love the 100BHP Panda, but no.. -

I had a Panda years ago and loved it. Not great if you're regularly transporting more than 2 people, there's not loads of leg room in the back. With the seats flat I could fit a whole drum kit in it though, it was a bit of a tardis. Not sure I'd describe the 1.1 litre diesel engine as "punchy" though.

It'd 99% be just the both of us. Jazz is tempting as the seats go completely flat for unexpected overnights . I just have a thing for the Panda. The 4x4 is mighty tempting

Jazz all day. Think they do a sporty one if you’re so inclined.
I love a Panda, and my partner wants one. And maybe for the sake of variety we’ll look at them when the Jazz dies, but in reality the Jazz is the better, more reliable and practical car.

The 1.4 dsi? It's what I'm looking at.
She loves the look of the Panda, but I'm getting old and practicality wins. (Personally, I want the MK2 Golf across the street that hasn't moved in 4 years). Carrying two bikes and fucking off, or fucking off and maybe needing to use it as a base to sleep overnight. -

You'd probably struggle with this in a Panda!
Any recommendations of how to scrap a car?
Was due to take it (2007 VW touran, with 207k on the clock) to we buy any car this morning but a flat battery/knackered starter motor means it still sat on the street outside our house.
Is it just a case of ringing a local scrap yard?
