One of my favourite comedy authors coined "A pint of large" in his brentford based apocalyptic series about two middle aged men who save the world whenever it interferes with their ability to go to the pub.
I'm not generous enough to accept that cooled largers is a nod to that though.

Once went for a job in Brentford and the Bricklayers Arms (the real-world Flying Swan) was the local pub to the office I went to interview at. Popped in for a pint but didn't want the job after the interview so never went back. Shit anecdote, sorry.
