You can use any centrelock lockring on any centrelock hub. There are however three things you should be aware of.
Some forks have very small clearance between the disc and the fork leg, so you may need to use low profile or 'internal' type lockrings.
Similarly, some axle endcaps (depends on whether you have thru-axle in 12mm or 15mm, or QR) necessitate an 'external' type lockring.
There is no standard for the little indentations on the faces between the lockring and the rotor. Most lockrings work fine with most rotors though. (Josh Ogle from Ogle designs dug into this once, but I don't remember the exact outcome). -

Cheers - the frame has 12 x 100 and 12 x 142 thru axles

I think with DT 240 and 12mm axles you can use either type of lockring without issue, I always prefer external lockrings that use a BB tool rather than the internal type which use a cassette tool, but that is just personal preference.

I think this?

Why? I hate using the BB ones - the tool sits too close to the disc. Have to for my dynamo hubs which is annoying as I need to carry two tools in the bike box.

I normally find I get better tool purchase as the cassette tool has to be so thin to clear the lockring and sometimes it doesn't insert very far. It's also harder to find nice black (or fancy anodised) ones compared to the external style.

That's the one!

Did I set the top cap bolt too tight after tightening stem
Top cap does F-All other than compress all stuff. If you keep going you'll move the bung up.

I'm with you on that.
It's fine if you're at home, using your own tools which are your responsibility to keep clean. In a commercial workshop where some greasy fingered little fucker has been pawing the bb tool I want to keep it as far from the rotor as possible.

Well, if you move the stem down instead your balls get crushed 😯

Is it possible to adjust the reach on a SRAM Force 1 lever?
The right hand has a 2.5mm hex, but I can’t see anything for the left hand. -

Snapped barrel adjuster inside steel frame, on the down tube. What’s the best plan of attack?

Does anyone have one of these knocking about? It’s the top hat bearing cover thing for a Sram PF30 bb - it’s the last piece of the puzzle, don’t really want to have to buy a new BB just for this bit…

I have the original BB out of a Shiv but presume that would only be similar dimensions and not the same?
-

Erm, not sure to be honest, I’ve got spares that will act as the bearing shield but it’s the return on this part that I need to stop the axle being loose fitting… do they look like the photos above and do they fit a 30mm axle?

Which may or may not be one of these. I can't remember. I thought there was a longer one I had.
https://www.wiggle.com/p/lifeline-compression-plug-with-alloy-capYeah, Deda do massive ones. I think I ended up with one of theirs.

Just installed on my gravel 1x Sram RED eTap Rear Derailleur 11spd A2 with Shimano 11-34 11sp cassette and works perfectly fine but I was wondering if anyone tried to install hanger extender for on Etap A2 or AXS non XPLR version to use 11-40 XTR cassette?

Many thanks 🙏🏻
I've always used Shimano lockrings on my DT Swiss hubs, threads are the same (I'd imagine they're also standardised)
