I always fancied one so made a Jazzmaster baritone as a halfway measure instead. Not quite Jet Harris but close enough!

I've got a Bass VI and it is utterly brilliant. It can be very nearly a bass guitar, or a super middly rhythm guitar type instrument, and everywhere inbetween. I love the floating tremolo and I love layering it up for max thickness. It's now my primary instrument. It is brilliant.

EDIT - if anyone's near Leyton e10 you're very welcome to come try mine out. It's ace.
