Yup, two day turnaround, isn't that amazing? Thanks, it gifted me a song (and a lovely accompanying guitar part) the morning after it arrived.
Great job on the strat, I'm thinking about doing a guitar maintenance course. Would love to be able to setup my own axes properly.

Was this the black one you fished out of a bin?!

The strat is a £20 gumtree purchase of a softwood body of unknown provenance, an eBay neck, assorted bargain parts and loaded pickguard donated by @>>>>>>> wherever they may be…

😂
The Dumpocaster went to a good home btw. Donated to a pupil who wanted to learn electric but couldn’t afford one.

That's great, I got given an Ibanez Artcore ages ago, had no use for it and it was taking up space so I gave it to a mate's daughter. She was super keen at first and played it for a few weeks but hasn't touched it in years. Shame really.
Bit quiet in here, eh? The GoldBender got a fret dress and setup this week, it plays beautifully. I now want to get my white single cut Junior refinished in gold (with a black stinger), I think it would look ace. Totally pointless tinkering, I know, but it's just a bit of fun, right? Inspo and guitar in question below.
No idea how much this may cost. 🤷♂️

Had one of these land on my bench at work this week. To be fully mirrored in tiny burnt orange mirrors for the German-based Brazilian singer Dillon.
Seems a bit too nice to strip the finish off but hey it’s not my money.
It’s Indonesian built with a set neck, the quality is absolutely astonishing for the money. Would bang.

Anyone know anywhere I can get one replacement machine head for an Epiphone V-J45 acoustic? (they are three a side Gibson style vintage snot green)
I think BITD I used to use Rose Morris but online search reveals nowt. Don't want to have to buy a set of six..

Nice Ricky, you might be able to get away with replacing just the button. Check this video at around 6mins.

Cheers. I do have the two halves of the peg broken in two and did think about trying to glue it back together....

This is the way: will match colour exactly, cost nowt and be more mojo.

Bought my daughter this for £40 on ebay for her to keep at my house (the fender mustang is at her mum's house where she stays in the week)
Anyway she seems to be making great progress, goes to band club every week at school. I persuaded her to learn Dead Flowers and Knocking on Heaven's Door, (she picked up both in an evening) made me very happy :)

Ha ha! Typo!

I've been hovering over Bass VI listings on eBay for months. Just looking for the right excuse to do it. Would love to try one out.

I always fancied one so made a Jazzmaster baritone as a halfway measure instead. Not quite Jet Harris but close enough!

I've played the Squire Bass VI and was really impressed, although they do seem like they take a good fettling to become good enough to record with, which would be my use case!
-
• #13748
Seems like it, doesn't it? Anyone who's playing it seriously seems to put an upgraded trem and bridge on it, which must double the price.
-
• #13749
Yeah Stay Trem is £100. I just watched this series, really good info!

In other news has anyone got a Bass XI?
I've got a Bass VI and it is utterly brilliant. It can be very nearly a bass guitar, or a super middly rhythm guitar type instrument, and everywhere inbetween. I love the floating tremolo and I love layering it up for max thickness. It's now my primary instrument. It is brilliant.
EDIT - if anyone's near Leyton e10 you're very welcome to come try mine out. It's ace.
Superglue is amazing.
