Yeh they must be 31.6, they were on road bars that are that size. I’ve gone 3t as they were available, cheap (allegedly used to be £115, now £30) and I was already on wiggle for other stuff.
I don’t remember I was terribly fussy in the past about base bar but I do know I didn’t like the funny hed ones with built in levers or the use with Mtb style levers. Hopefully these will be fine for playing with position and getting me (re) started after a 10+ year gap
