This is an incredible image. Also, the use of PMK is interesting, I've been using Pyro 510 for a while with a semi-stand method and it's a fantastic developer.

a semi-stand method
pls do tell

The Pyro I buy is from Zone Imaging, I tend to follow their advice and use Rudiger Hartung method which they give the dev times on the data sheet which can be found here, essentially it's just a brief agitation every 7ish mins and around 25 min dev times depending on film stock, water as a stop bath and a neutral fixer.
In my experience it has been worth figuring it out, I'm finding a lot more detail in the shadow areas and very low grain, although, the negatives are quite contrasty. -

I finally have a nice space for all my camera stuff, need to get a foam insert still but…

That's cracking collection. May your solder joints long stay intact!

How's the Nikon compared to the T2?
Im on my 4th one and dont think i can justify another T2 when it eventually breaks.
-
• #23358
Hard to really say but I feel the t2 is the best of the bunch, 35ti is cute but the viewfinder is awful, Minilux is maybe between the two but too scared to use it.
The t2 is actually the misses, not that she ever uses it.
The yashica and hexar combo is prob my fave set up. -
• #23359
Just checked t2 prices, dear god.
-
• #23360
aye they are a shambles, I bought my first one for £150 then everyone since then has been more and more.
My issue is that they are a timebomb as much as I love them, if I ever go to Tokyo I’m loading up.
The T2 is just as good as my M6 and it’s just so easy to use but I can’t let go of the Leica either

Are they still cheap in Japan? Looks like they are all 750+ on eBay now, even the ones from Japan.
All these cameras are prone to fail, such a shame as the quality of their photos is amazing. I actually have contacts for a couple of people who do the impossible repairs, already sent my hexar off once for a shutter release replace. -
• #23362
No one seems to be doing the repairs now although apparently they still repair them in Japan as they have parts but seems like on one here or the US is doing anything now with them when they bricks.
The word cheap I think is a loose word, Id say £5/6 is cheap but with the ones from japan you'll get fuckin humped on import duty and stuff. When I visit japan im gonna buy a few next!
-
• #23363
But they're still super expensive in Japan, too, no? Like the cheapest one I can find on sale is $868 (on Yahoo shopping, not eBay) with most being $1000+. That's crazy for a P&S that could break at any minute.

• #23364
I've said it before but the guy here https://www.fotonaprawa.pl has repaired a Ricoh GR1, Ricoh GRll and a Fuji GA645 for us. All with shutter problems so a new ribbon cable was needed. Which it seems to also be common on contaxs ( had a TVS repaired by another person ) so if you have some broken T2s it's worth checking with them.

They have hipster tax on them which is really fucking annoying from someone who's had them for years. Its the celebs and stuff to that have caused it!
-
• #23366
My issue with my current T2 is that in certain points when shooting in sun or high brightness it gives a light ring on some photos not all but some and that's the seals falling to bits inside. So far no one has been able to fix it, might shoot your man a message.
-
• #23367
Ah I see. Never had a T2, heard good things. Yeah worth a message. There's warranty and good communication
In other news, and for everybody. Some price drops on the Leica.
£1700 for the Leica M2 + Elmar + voigtlander.
£1500 for the Leica M2 + 1 lens. -

This seems like the best place to ask. Could anyone help me scan a single 35mm negative in the next couple of days? I'm based in South East London but can travel. Can repay kindness in coffee/beer!

Hi All,
I used to frequent this thread and post images from time to time, but due to difficult circumstances I haven't been here for years.
Please could you recommend a good lab to send film for development?
In a week time I have to photograph an important project and I need a reliable lab in order not to miss the deadline.
In the past I lived abroad and that's why I have no idea where to go for a good service.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for this. I have a 35Ti that hasn't worked properly and no-one in the UK seems to be able to repair. Apparently an issue with the main flex but who knows. If anyone else has had the same issue and resolved hit me up!
Before I post in the classifieds, is anyone interested in either of the following
Olympus XA £150, recently serviced, new seals, replacement gold button (https://pppcameras.co.uk/olympus/p/olympus-xa-shutter-button-brass). Definitely works
Olympus XA2 w/ flash and box £100, serviced 12 months ago. 95% sure it works - havent put a roll through in 6 months. Also have new seals ready to install just haven't done it yet. Obviously if it turns out not to work I'd give a refund - just don't want to put another roll through just to confirm before selling it.

Ohhh thanks for the share.
I have a TVS and two GR1s that all need some work, have given them a shout.
Still have the M2 kit and contax here https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/385955/#comment17025764 need it gone and I rather not go via resellers. If interested message me and w can discuss the price further.
