• Have you tried reflashing the internal USB drive? I did it using the existing flash drive but am thinking I should try it with a new flash drive (the fit is very snug so would probably need to buy a new one for it).

    I briefly looked at OPNSense in the past but didn't realise it was compatible with Unifi APs. Seem to remember the boxes were quite expensive though and it looks like the kind of thing I could easily break and not have the knowledge to fix.

    Not overly keen on buying another USG though as they don't seem that reliable.

    @hugo7 Didn't work for me in Chrome with Privacy Badger and Ublock Origin. Same error. Worked in Edge where I have nothing (the page has a lot of ads).

  • Unifi APs can be used with any router/switch; no need to pair them with other Ubiquiti kit.

    They only need a Unifi controller (can be software or hardware) for the initial configuration, then will happily run standalone forever.

  • That's true but I like the neatness of everything being in one place and being able to properly see what is connected where. And I assume a decent router is probably of a similar price to a USG.
