So weird thing happening on my recently purchased San Martin SN004... Seiko nh35 inside I believe. It's held a steady +/- 4 seconds a day for 3 weeks. That's impossible right, it shouldn't be that accurate over extended periods? I need to get it on a timegrapher thingo but every morning I check against my phone and it oscillates between that 4 seconds of bang on. I'm scared to let the spring wind down!

I have 4R (aka NH35/36) and 6R movements that are that accurate or even better. It's just the luck of the draw.

Lots of people do every day, you just have to wait. How long you have to wait depends on which Rolex you want (and, in the case of many ADs, how many other Rolexes you have purchased previously).

I quite like it! Case finishing and bracelet is extremely meh but I respect what a silly thing it is and how all-in it is on just being a 1/100th sec chrono.

Good to know I'm actually having a bit of luck then! Although slightly disappointed I didn't get an even more accurate one, lolz.

Don't get cocky, I had a 6R that was within 1.5 seconds a day and then one day for no apparent reason it started running -45!

If anyone missed the Watchfinder data breach last year:
We are writing to inform you that we recently discovered unauthorised access to a user account belonging to one of our employees which resulted in lists of our customers being compromised. We took immediate action and the matter is being investigated. All our systems remain protected.
The records in question may include your e-mail address, telephone number and/or any watches that you have purchased, or expressed an interest in.
They do not include any postal addresses, passwords, credit card details or other banking information.I just noticed I got an email offering high quality replicas on that email address (address was only used for watchfinder). Some bargains to be had there ...

Yeah, dunno. It did trigger the Lepsi app but after I demagnetised it there was no change. And I was told by two separate “watch professionals” that if it was magnetised, it would run fast, not slow. Who knows.

Do it! Looks legit!

Nice. Are the lugs shorter than on the standard Hamilton khaki field mechanical?

46mm on the 38 so 1-2mm shorter? I think better for it as it wears very well and weighs nothing.

I tried a Panerai 564 on in Japan - 2018 ti model. I really liked it. Anything I should be looking out for with a watch of that age? Suppose ideally all papers and serviced etc?

Edit: seems the forum doesn’t like the “salute” emoji. Good luck indeed
Yes.
Just not immediately and it very much depends on what you want.
I had a client of mine who generally is an omega collector walk into goldsmiths in Oxford and bought a non date sub off the shelf. He’d never even been into the store before. So it does happen. This was two years ago between lockdowns but still. Makes a mockery of the “list “ in that store and all the poor buggers who had been waiting for them to just sell one to a stranger.
