  • I’m rejoining the brom club for the first time in almost ten years. Can’t wait, and need to decide on luggage. I’ve done a lot of googling so do have some awareness of what’s out there, but does anyone have any bags they like in particular that might not be as obvious as Brompton’s own luggage? Ideally a solution that has a frame integrated into the bag and not one where you have to buy a frame separately.

I’m looking for something the same size as the old T Bag, so about 25-27L.

  • Bromptons stuff is pretty well designed so I'd stick to that unless there's a reason to choose someone else's.

I liked the touring bags on both my dad's stolen bikes. It was good enough for me to source one for the 2nd bike at least. It lived on the bike and was excellent for shopping and often when I borrowed it I was loading it up with stuff. Plus I found the two rear facing pockets really useful for keys/phone/wallet. It would have probably been over 15yo when it got nicked and was still in good condition (although had had an easy life).

But it is big and not very ergonomic as a bag off the bike. So I'd say it's an on-the-bike bag - if that makes sense?

  • Large Borough Roll top or Freitag (or both depending on where you are going)

  • if youre in london any time soon happy to sell you my old style T bag on the cheap, never use it

  • I have a white O-bag for sale if you’re interested
