Crikey.
Was it the sudden deflation that broke the wheel or the impact of the road/weight of your front fork, on a tubeless tyre?
CliveO has already discussed the tubilotos here, and I had a little wobble where I had a puncture in my front tyre last week. The behaviour of the front tyre with a deflated latex tube is probably dangerous, unlike a rubber tube; the loss of handling, to me, is more pronounced.
It was the heat in the carbon wheels which burst the tubeolito which the allow the rims to be riding on the road before it broke and threw me off the bike.
