Was it the sudden deflation that broke the wheel or the impact of the road/weight of your front fork, on a tubeless tyre?CliveO has already discussed the tubilotos here, and I had a little wobble where I had a puncture in my front tyre last week. The behaviour of the front tyre with a deflated latex tube is probably dangerous, unlike a rubber tube; the loss of handling, to me, is more pronounced.
Carbon wheels overheated the latex tube and exploded the tube and then broke the wheel.
