  • Thoughts on any of MKS Compact EZY vs Brompton Superlight QR vs Litepro QR vs H&H Ti QR pedals.

I don’t like the stock Brompton pedals, used SPDs in London but now value being able to use normal shoes so have some MKS GR9s which are non removable, slippy when wet and slightly too small at the front where they taper so looking for other options.

  • Can't comment on the others, but I much prefer the QR mechanism on the Brompton Superlights over that on the MKS Compact Ezys in terms of ease of use.

Having said that, I do think fit could be better as there is a very small amount of play present, which at that price should have been avoided. Not noticeable in use, of course.

  • Thanks, from the photos it did look like a slick connection. I don wondering the play wound annoy me though, and given that most of the time they will remain attached (as the GR9s are now) that I could live with the slightly slower removal

  • Just been into bromton junction in Covent Garden to have a gander and I agree they do have quite a satisfying click to them when connecting. However in the store I did find them a little fiddly to get seated well, which does slightly concern me when they aren’t as new and clean. Also the connection looks to be a simple hex bolt, which seems at risk of wear and therefore longevity may be compromised?
