Destuffing is very therapeutic, use the 6 month rule, not touched/used/missed summat for 6 months then it's fine to be without it.

I wish my head worked that way.

In other news, I bent the front wheel on the Kish so I’ve popped an old roval in there to get to work in the morning. I changed over the marathon plus’ without tools again so that’s something I guess.
Oh and the CoMoot (langster) is back together, just in case I need to lock something up in the city.

Get Marathon Plus tyres they said, they never puncture they said. They lie. Admittedly it was like riding through a trail of destruction after last night’s storm, but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Not bike related, but I’ve got to start somewhere. So I’ve dragged this out of the garage and it along with all it’s spares are going up for sale. Sad, but happy to have made the decision.

A friend said I should share this to show my love of the unpaved path is nothing new, and the fact I’ve always done it. Rereading it after such a long time really does show it’s only the vehicle for adventure that has changed. Enjoy, or not the choice is yours. Except you don’t really choose if you enjoy something or not do you? Well you get the idea.

Woah, love that! but my spidey senses tell me that'd be harder to fix up than a bike :)
Makes sense to let go, think of all the extra room in the garage for bikes. -

I’ve had a shit streak for bikes lately;
I knew the front rim on the Kish was getting a bit borderline, but was hoping to baby it though for another month or so, but I had to make an emergency stop after a car pulled out in front of me. Well I stopped, but squished the front rim in by a good 5mm. So new rims needed for the Phil’s then.
I also managed to snap a couple of spokes on the rear wheel of the Pest having hit a branch sticking out of the long grass. The dura ace track hubs have needed new rims for a while anyway and the nipples/spokes are stuck so…
And to cap it all tonight riding home I hopped a pile of horse shit and snapped a spoke on landing on the Langster. The rims are made of girders so just a new spoke needed there.
But FFS! -

I’ve taken my own advice for a change and have decided that this is my new (it’s 72 years old, but you get the idea) winter commuter. I’ll run these tyres until I get the first flat and then on with the marathon plus’. Just need new bar tape and we’re good. I took it out for a little 20 mile spin this afternoon and it rides really nicely, light, sharp, peppy and not at all noddly.

I stretched today’s commute which is normally 14 miles out to 46miles. Mystery Machine rode super nice and the only issue I had was the seat pin slipped a bit, I nipped it up a little and all was well.

Today I did a bit of proof of concept, I really want a cargo bike, but only for carting Dolly around. So can’t really just it at this point in time. The mood-board as such.
Take one poorly Sequoia,
One pizza rack,
One fuck off crate,
Cable ties,
A blanket,
A short lead,
And a big dose of it’ll be fine ™️
I put the crate on Liz’s spesh and took Dolly down the road, about 1/2mile and both her and Liz are still taking to me.
Now to sort the brakes on my Sequoia and make it happen, shit it’s only to take Dolly to the pub or the city for a change. What could possibly…

Scratch the above, Dolly has just eaten the MiLs electric blanket, little shit! Anyone want a “clown like” dog?
Once you get off the main roads it is pretty deserted in these parts, it’s well worth bringing a bike for sure.
The problem is I have the space, but stuff is bringing me down and working out what to lose is also a major stress.
