Did I read somewhere that councils might start charging more council tax for properties that pave over gardens? Or did I come up with that as a cracking policy idea?

Either way, this should be illegal.

It's against local planning rules here, front gardens anyway, not sure how well that's enforced though judging from the renovations I've seen going on.
