A Brasilian friend at work bought me back a bottle of aged Cachaca (I'd never heard of it) and instructions for making a caiphirinha. Made one tonight, that's one delicious drink.

Where i grew up in Scotland Merrydown was what you drank when you where a kid to get steaming by the community centre. I always find it strange that it is made by the fantastic Westons, might need to give it another try 15 years on.....

On the cider subject, i went to the Dunkertons farm in Herefordshire last summer and that stuff is really good!

yup, over 18 years ago, on a thursday going to the grange youth club, we used to get the oldest looking one to buy merrydown for all.

Also, cactus flavour can gtf. I've had worse tasting cacti before (with much tastier effects) but this was like gone off coconut flavour. Very floral and heady.
