There was lots I did like about living in East Ham - there were a lot of amazing people around, we were right next to a park, my son's nursery was genuinely outstanding.
But to be a bit freer from the daily risk of stepping in human shit, the pickpockets hanging round the which-cup-is-the-ball-under game and the drunken shouting matches in the park - feels good man.
I still haven’t fully unwound all the London tension in my system and we’ve been out two years now. Not seen a single street-dumped mattress since we left, almost miss them.
