  • Managed to sneak out for a 50km ride. It was way to warm for me but views where sweet. Because of the heat and lack of rain lately I was able to ride some "beach meadow" (not sure what the English term is) which is normally very wet and unridable.

  • I’m going with ‘beach meadow’ being Marshes in the uk.
Whatever it’s called it looks lovely out there.

  • Now I looked it up. Google says salt meadow or salt marshes.
It was very nice but at least 10° too hot for me.

Edit: seems meadow is if it's kept by humans. So probably marches is the correct term https://eng.nationalparkvadehavet.dk/experience-the-national-park/the-salt-meadows-by-the-wadden-sea/

  • AWOL mods are moving along. It's taking a lot of time because I am also doing jigs and other stuff that will be useful for future work.
I was going to ask what people preferred but B has already decided so no point. Will finish for tomorrow!

  • One of each?

    You madman

  • I had the chance to try a Bike Friday All-Packa on the weekend and now I am even more excited about this folding HulsWOL.
I used to own an AWOL and didn't like but I think that was due to me trying to set it up as a speedy gravel bike when it should actually be a cool flat bar ATB.

    where???

  • Guten Biken in Munich. Went there for Brother in the Wild Munich.

  • ah! i really want to have a go on that bike, almost bought it

  • (Sorry for Hijacking @Hulsroy)

@amey it rides incredibly well and solid. I couldn't identify any wobbliness or flex I know from Bromptons, Dahon etc. This was only on the road and not offroad though.

  • B

    and those look so good.

  • We ended up with B and thanks!

  • For money I can make you lot anything. Happy to do you two a mini off road tandem

  • I love this bike actually. It really makes me very happy to ride it. Buying a pair of Mavic Cosmics in black tomorrow. But not sure if it will improve it or not

  • Very Roadbike. It's fun to ride those.
I like all black modern wheels on skinny steel, looks very purposeful or something like that.

  • @SoYaap! 's forks are done. I can not recommend making segmented forks out of unicrown forks. It is extremely time consuming and new forks would probably have been quicker build. Though we did save some on materials and co2 footprint I guess.

  • Sexy forks.

I have never been a fan of the look of a unicrown fork so every fork you modify is an improvement aesthetically.
