Nice, they seem to be drip-feeding represses recently.
On a separate note - are there any other shops that give you a digital download with a vinyl purchase other then amazon? It is a nice feature but would rather spend my money elsewhere if possible.

Any hip hop lovers that can get to Kent might want to check this…

As far as I'm aware it will only be bandcamp or if you buy from the label directly. I buy some new vinyl from various online shops and they have never offered that digital download service.

Bleep do. They'll email you the code when you purchase.

Bandcamp, too

Anyone else's daily discogs wantlist emails stopped being sent? I haven't had one for about 5 days (checked spam etc)
-

Mine come mid afternoon now which really ruined my morning coffee routine. They’ve been coming through as normal the past few days though. They did stop for a few days a few weeks ago though

I know what you mean, I miss waking up to them (mine switched to afternoon delivery)! Hopefully mine will start back up soon then if there are random outages.

Just incase anyone else has the same issue, I have changed my discogs email address and they have started coming through again.

I would love to but I am house bound currently - do you know when in the autumn the next one will be? I can plan to be in the area. Also want to check out the Palace Vinyl shop.
Got much 95 stuff?

I turned those off as they felt spammy. Maybe I need to revisit my settings.
I seem to get 100+ items every day. Some of it I am never going to buy (less than VG+, outside UK) - can you adjust thresholds?

Anyone had a Discogs seller use Yodel?
I wonder if it is a avoidance tactic for the recent fee adjustments by Discogs.

PV is worth spending a whole Saturday afternoon in digging. Good vibes and Chris and Alan are super helpful.
If you've never been be aware of its location as it's very much tucked away and there's no sign-posting anywhere. Just be led by your ears...I'll check what era the jungle I've got is from. Late 90's to early 00's probably.
No idea about future dates but likely October or November, I can let you know no probs. -

They are very good at making you feel welcome. After telling me what and how they stock things (only house and techno) we had a brief embarrassing moment when this happened (Culture Club 12).

I just click the link at the top to go through to the page where you can get granular on the filters, particularly the price range if the record budget is low!

I sell on Discogs, and only sell to the UK as I can’t be arsed with the hassle if something goes wrong with the order with an international buyer.
Someone has got around this by using a forwarding company with a UK address. If something goes wrong with the order after it hits the forwarding company, or if the buyer is unhappy and wants to return, am I liable in any way?

From the buyer's side on Discogs, is anyone else guilty of procrastinating too long on purchases? A reasonably priced copy of Cecil Taylor's Conquistador that was in my cart that I now definitely want after watching this doc has gone.

I don't think it would wash if a buyer complained that they had to pay extra to return a record from a different country to the one it was posted to. Paypal however has some mad rulez.
I don't post overseas anymore as it's expensive if things go wrong. I would probably post to a forwarding company without any worries though. If you end up accepting a return I would only expect to refund the original postage cost. Most Discogs transactions do go down without problem in my experience.

It takes about 30 seconds to lift the platter of my turntable and switch the belt from 33 to 45 and then put the platter back on, so I don't really listen to 7s anymore. Until, In a mad late night moment, I summoned the energy and switched the belt.
I'd totally forgotten the great pleasure of listening to a stack of 7s - that 2 1/2 minute length seems to make it a more active experience. There's no time to get distracted by phone staring or whatever.
Also, you’ve got to love the randomness of those Studio One represses. My copy of Boosty & Cool's ska tune, "Mr Policeman," has Junior Walker's Motown released "Home Cookin'" uncredited on the flip... -

Cheers, has been my experience also.
Continuing the Discogs chat, does anyone regularly buy from outside the UK? There's a bunch of Jazz stuff I want, potentially sucking up the >£100 barrier, which I've avoided until now. I guess prices are what they are, with 20% VAT and higher postage. Given that, any recommendations for good sellers? If I'm paying out, I want to minimise the risk of the record not being as described, bad packing etc
