Thanks to @King_Saxlingham for recommending Ben Myers a few pages back, enjoying The Perfect Golden Circle, and on the strength of that I've just ordered The Offing and Pig Iron.
Thoroughly enjoyed The Slough House series, think I'll try one of Mick Herron's stand alone novels soon.
