Yes.
I’d say they are much closer to casual shorts that you can swim in better than most shorts. Though, people do ask “why are you wearing swim trunks?” so perhaps I’m wrong. If you cut out the inner liner they are far more comfy for everyday usage, but it’s not needed and they can be used either way. I love them (in black)
