Thanks that's interesting. I actually own a hilleburg nallo 2 for serious conditions. But his scenario 1 sounds serious. I spoke with Annie le a bit as she has the HMG and uses it in Scotland, plus with the conditions i had in Kygyzstan before with the altaplex I know pyramids are super solid. I think the MLD would be a bomber tent for all but the most serious of wind.
I'm still not sure what my answer is, the tarptent moment is super cheaper compared to others. And the solomid with inner almost twice the price.
I think what I want at a price I can afford doesn't exist.
Ps. Sorry for my continued musing. I'll buy something, eventually.

Thanks. Makes me come back around to needed a bomber tent. The solomid with inner would do it, but would be 900g. Which almost makes me think I might as well get a hilleberg enan (if I could afford it) or tarptent moment dw. I loved how bomber my old terranova 1 was, but was a bit claustrophobic.
