It’s not difficult, just assemble an archive of ‘I quite like that’ imagery and think about what will or won’t work in your own spaces.
We are both arts trained so a bit easier to work things out and verbalise why something will or won’t fit, but that’s years of explaining things to visually unaware clients :-)

I really really like how that house looks, but left to my own devices wouldn't come close to thinking of doing some of the things/combinations/layouts/colours here - maybe it's lack of exposure, but wish I had the imagination to echo some of this stuff!
Feel so basic with my white-walls-everywhere Pinterest-at-best yes-we-have-anthracite-bifolds design choices...
